Murderer barred from legislature

A MEMBER of the Basque separatist group ETA who won a seat in a provincial legislature this month has been sentenced to 60 years in jail for killing a politician and his wife in 1998. The conviction means Jose Luis Barrios, 26, will be barred from serving in the Navarra parliament.
