LOS ANGELES - The judge in the forthcoming murder trial of O J Simpson, one of the most widely publicised cases in US history, stunned the media last night by announcing that he was considering restricting coverage of the case, writes Phil Reeves. His warning came as the former American football star's lawyer, complained that there was a 'deliberate, calculated and manipulated' behind-the-scenes effort to prejudice the Simpson trial by an 'agency' - a reference which was widely assumed to mean the Los Angeles Police Department.
