Heavy fighting has broken out in the Yemeni capital Sanaa between security forces and an army unit that joined the popular uprising against autocratic President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
One man from each side was killed in the fighting, according to an official from Mr Saleh's military.
The clashes pit Central Security forces under the command of Mr Saleh's nephew against the army's First Armoured Division, led by a general who defected to the opposition in March.
The fighting follows Mr Saleh's signing of a US-backed deal to end his 33-year rule in exchange for immunity from prosecution.
Many protesters reject the deal and demand that Mr Saleh stand trial.
