Malaysia deported the 10 remaining foreigners who came for a short- lived conference on East Timor at the weekend and freed from jail nine other human-rights activists and two journalists. The conference, held before today's anniversary of the 1991 killing by Indonesian troops of 50 demonstrators in East Timor's capital, Dili, was broken up by protesters from a youth group allied to the Malaysian government.
