Kuwait to extinguish public smoking

Smokers who light up in public in Kuwait could soon face a 50-dinar ( pounds 110) fine, the Arab Times reported yesterday, Reuter reports from Kuwait City. Kuwaitis have begun to smoke more since Iraq's 1990-91 occupation, studies show. Smoking in hospitals was banned last year.
