Kidnapped Mexican banker 'alive'

Kidnappers have made their first contact with the family of the billionaire Mexican banker Alfredo Harp Helu, who was seized on Monday, and told them he was alive and well, AFP reports from Mexico City. It was not known whether the kidnappers had demanded a ransom for Mr Harp, president of Banamex-Accival, Mexico's largest bank.
