AMMAN - Jordan has carried out the second execution of a woman in its history, hanging a housewife aged 26 who battered her husband to death with a brick as he watched television and then burnt his body in paraffin, Reuter reports. In a rare development in Jordan, two men were also hanged on the same day for crimes of passion - a 22-year-old farmer who killed his uncle's wife and her lover, and a 54- year-old teacher who shot the husband of a woman with whom he had an affair and wanted to marry.
