Jerusalem - Israel is to agree to two Syrian early-warning radar stations in Galilee during their first direct talks for six months in Washington over its withdrawal from the Golan Heights, military experts said. Israel is expected to demand that "even in peace time" its troops stay on a 500-m (1,650-ft) outcrop of the Golan overlooking northern Galilee, 6km (four miles) into the plateau. Such a withdrawal line would mean Israel abandoning most of the 30 Golan settlements, but would also intrude on Syria's sovereignty. AFP
