Paris - President Jacques Chirac yesterday announced a reshuffle of the top brass of the French armed forces, writes Mary Dejevsky. It included replacing the chief of staff, Admiral Jacques Lanxade, with the head of the air force, General Philippe Douin, and appointing new military advisers to the offices of the president and the defence minister.
