Seville - Temperatures that soared to 44 C (111F) in Andalucia caused two more deaths yesterday, raising to nine the number of people who have died in a four-day heatwave. All of the dead were elderly people who suffered from chronic ailments such as asthma. The government is running public service notices on television and radio advising residents to drink large amounts of water and limit their exercise after a 20-year-old cyclist was hospitalised for sunstroke.
