Gunmen fired at a Nile cruiser carrying 41 Germans in an area where Muslim militants have repeatedly attacked tourist buses and boats, Reuter reports from Cairo. Security sources said that two bullets hit the cruiser on Thursday afternoon near the town of El-Qusiya, 190 miles south of Cairo, but nobody was hurt. The boat spent the night under heavy police guard in the provincial capital, Assiut. Further south, in the once-busy tourist resort of Aswan, security sources said a bomb exploded outside a bakery on Thursday night, causing no damage or casualties.
