France and Italy pledged to improve co-operation against the Mafia by sharing intelligence, easing extradition and cracking down on money-laundering, AP reports from Aix-en-Provence. Talks that ended on Saturday followed French government reports that the Mafia is boosting investment in southern France, especially in property.
