Northern Yemen forces kept the southern capital, Aden, under siege yesterday, AP reports from Sanaa. At least 36 people were reportedly killed by shelling, and 900 foreigners fled the city by ship to Djibouti. Battles resumed on the Abyan front, 25 miles east of Aden.
