The Pope yesterday underwent an 80-minute check-up at a hospital in Rome following his surgery a year ago. Both the Vatican and his doctors said the results had not revealed any problems, Reuter reports from Rome. The Pope, 73, smiled as he left the hospital. 'He is not only well, he is in fantastic shape,' said Dr Francesco Crucitti, one of the Pope's surgeons.
