Moscow - Sergei Golovkin, 35, a livestock specialist who raped, mutilated and killed 11 boys during an eight-year crime spree, was sentenced to death by a Moscow court. He confessed to sexually assaulting 12 boys, aged 10 to 15, and torturing all but one of them to death between 1984 and his arrest in October 1992.
The trial was held behind closed doors to spare the feelings of the victims' families. He told the judge he enjoyed watching the boys suffer. AP
