The aircraft, carrying three people, crashed shortly after taking off from the airfield in Roclincourt in the Pas-de-Calais area, Le Parisien reported, citing an official from the town of Arras.
At least thirty fire fighters attended the scene of the crash, France3 reported.
A 71-year-old died on the scene after the emergency services attempted to resuscitate them, according to France 3.
The two other victims are 58 and 68-years-old, according to the Le Parisien.
Firefighters said that the passengers have been taken to a hospital in Arras.
The aviation police have been called to the scene, 20minutes.Fr reported.
