Macauley Negus: Liverpool fan missing in Madrid 'arrested by Spanish police'
Local broadcaster says 23-year-old detained for assaulting police officers

A Liverpool fan who went missing in Madrid after watching the Champions League final has reportedly been arrested by police.
Macauley Negus, 23, from Plymouth, drove to the Spanish capital with his father and was due to return home on Sunday.
His family put out an urgent appeal after he went missing during celebrations after Liverpool beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0.
He was last seen in the Goya area of Madrid around 10.30pm on Saturday.
However, on Monday local broadcaster TeleMadrid reported Mr Macauley had been arrested for assaulting police officers after he was found in a drunken state.
Mr Negus’s brother, Ashley, tweeted to say he had been found.
“To everyone who has helped my family during this tough time I want to say thank you we have now found Macauley I will update a statement this evening,” he said.
“My family wants everyone to know we our forever in your debt as with out your help we would not have found him thank you everyone.”
Darren Negus, Mr Negus’s father, had previously said his family were “desperately worried about his whereabouts”.
He said: ”I’ve been searching for Macauley since 8am Sunday morning, and will be out all night and morning in Madrid looking for him with my other son Ashley.”
Ashley Negus had also tweeted: “Just to put everyone in the picture, I flew out to meet my dad we have contacted the hospitals and police and have walked 30 miles today [Sunday] just looking for him!”
