As the trial resumed of the sole surviving alleged member of a gang of neo-Nazi killers, Beate Zschäpe was accused of complicity in the murders of nine immigrant shopkeepers and a policewoman.
Ms Zschäpe, 38, sat attentively in the dock in Munich’s criminal court during proceedings that were dominated by legal wrangling. Four other people are also on trial, accused of lending assistance to the National Socialist Underground, of which she is allegedly a founder.
More than 600 witnesses are scheduled to be called.
