Britain announced yesterday it was lifting its arms embargo on Angola, citing the assessment of the UN's 'Angola troika' (the US, Russia and Portugal) overseeing peace accords, that the Luanda government had a 'legitimate right of self-defence' against Unita rebels, AFP reports from London.
