Egyptian security forces have rounded up 17 suspects for the murder of a prosecution witness in the trial of Islamic militants accused of attempting to assassinate the Prime Minister, Atef Sedki, AFP reports from Cairo. Police said another 127 suspects had been arrested for a series of attacks on police in Assiut. The 17 arrests were made in Qaliubiya, north of Cairo, after the witness was shot dead at his car showroom.
