WASHINGTON (Reuter) - Nasa is hoping its latest shuttle mission, which blasted into orbit yesterday, will not only repair the dollars 3bn ( pounds 2bn) Hubble space telescope but also the space agency's battered prestige. Hobbled by budget cuts after a string of costly mishaps, including the flawed lenses of the telescope the mission is to repair, Nasa supporters were hoping for a success to revive flagging popular interest in space ventures.
