BORDEAUX - French navy vessels stopped 16 Spanish trawlers off the south-western French coast in a flare-up of an anchovy fishing dispute between the two countries. They were released, but face possible fines for breaking European Union regulations by failing to give prior notice that they were entering French fishing areas. Reuter
