Drone footage captures clashes between anti-Islamic and anti-racism protesters in Australia
Aerial footage of Saturday’s violence between anti-Islamic and anti-racism activists in Melbourne has been released

Saturday’s violence between anti-Islamic and anti-racism activists in Melbourne can now be viewed from an entirely different angle. Drone footage has been released showing a street melee in scenes akin to an action film.
The two groups can be seen colliding outside Parliament House with punches thrown between protesters; and Police armed with pepper-spray struggling to intervene.
The anti-Islamic demonstration was made up of ‘The United Patriots Front’ and ‘Reclaim Australia’, who appear to be outnumbered by anti-racism activists.
Controversy hit Victoria police on Sunday after a photograph emerged of a police officer shaking hands with a United Patriots Front member outside Parliament House.
In a statement, Victoria police said “Speculation around the meaning of the interaction… is both unfair and unfounded.”
