Taliban reject help from Pakistan tribesmen
Afghanistan's ruling Taliban authority has rejected an offer of help from Pakistani tribesmen.
Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef, the Taliban ambassador to Pakistan, said: "We have requested that since there are only air assaults in Afghanistan there is no need and great danger for them being there."
Sympathisers to the Taliban cause are reported to have been crossing the border into Afghanistan offering to help in a war against America.
