An Indian father who killed his rapist’s daughter has described torturing the man to death.

The father-of-six was arrested after turning himself in to police in Delhi earlier last month.

In his interview with police, he detailed how he cooked dinner for the alleged rapist before torturing him by repeatedly burning his genitals with hot tongs and eventually killing him.

The alleged rapist, who was also one of his tenants, had reportedly attacked his daughter when she was home alone and threatened to kill her if she told anyone. The girl’s father, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said his daughter only admitted she had been raped when morning sickness began and she discovered she was pregnant.

Speaking from his prison cell, he told the MailOnline: “Initially, I didn’t want to kill him and asked him to quietly leave my home and life but he taunted me. I became very, very angry and lost my mind.

“I wrapped a towel around his neck and tied his hand, and dragged him to the floor. I switched on the gas and put the iron tongs and made it hot.”

The 36-year-old claimed to have then strangled him and burned his genitals with the tongs three times, causing him to scream so loudly he had to hold a towel over his mouth.

He said: “After some time he stopped breathing and collapsed on the ground.”

The man, from the Khajuri Khas region claimed the he killed the 45-year-old in revenge for spoiling his daughter’s childhood.

He said: “I could have run away and even destroyed the body but instead I went to police after three hours and told them about what I had done. He was a blot on society and a constant threat to women.

“Can you imagine this man is the father of two married daughters - yet he dared to do this my young innocent daughter.”

The man has been charged with murder, a sentence that carries a maximum 25-year prison sentence.
