The rider was pinned under the vehicle after he was hit at a crossroads in Baoshan city, in the southern Yunnan province, local media reports.
CCTV captured the moment that a deliveryman spotted the crash and stopped to try and comfort the trapped man.
"Take it easy, I'll talk to you," he said, according to the state run Xinhua news agency. "Don't worry, calm down."
The delivery driver then called his colleagues, who rushed to the site to help the trapped man and together with other members of the public, they lifted the car off the man and helped pull him out from underneath.
An ambulance then arrived and took the man to hospital. His injuries were not to be life threatening.
