Police arrested the owner of two apartment blocks in Calcutta yesterday where at least 47 people were killed in a huge blast caused by explosives, Reuter reports from Calcutta. The Calcutta police chief, Tushar Talukdar, said the owner of the devastated buildings and an associate, both Muslims, had been arrested, but he declined to say on what charges.
