BUENOS AIRES - Tens of thousands of protesters opposed to President Carlos Menem's economic reforms rallied in the Argentine capital in the biggest demonstration this decade. Organisers said the 'Federal March' was expected to attract some 100,000 people to the Plaza de Mayo, opposite the presidential palace. Opposition groups blame Mr Menem's policies for unprecedented 10 per cent unemployment and a collapse of provincial economies. Reuter
