North Charleston police were called to a property in Brossy Circle following reports of an assault with a knife.
Upon arriving at the property, officers discovered Vernett Bader standing outside with her 64-year-old roommate, who had received multiple stab wounds to his arms from a 14-inch serrated bread knife.
Bader was allegedly at her home on Monday with her roommate and her brother, who were both watching television and listening to songs by the Grammy award winning group.
The victim told police that Bader had attacked him after he refused to stop listening to the American rock band and asked her to "shut up".
He reportedly managed to wrestle the knife from Bader, but she began brandishing another, Abcnews4 reported.
The victim, who has not been identified, told police that he had previously entered into a relationship with Bader, but this had ended whilst they were still cohabiting.
The police report noted that both Bader and the man appeared to be intoxicated during the incident.
Bader has been arrested and taken to the Al Cannon Detention Centre.
