Washington DC’s Union Station was evacuated on Friday after reports of a shooting.

A heavy police presence was reported around the station, although there were no immediately reports of injuries.

A spokesman for the Washington DC police said one person had been shot and one had been stabbed, according to the Associated Press.

“Due to police activity, remain clear of the area near Union Station,” according to a statement by the Senate Sergeant at Arms.

“Please avoid this area until further notice.”
