From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Donald Trump posted a photo to Twitter showing his expressionless face on the shirtless body of Sylvester Stallone from the Rocky films after the president claimed during a wild Florida campaign rally that a doctor told him to show his "gorgeous chest" during an exam.

The tweet doesn't contain any text.

According to the White House, the president's recent medical exam clocked his body mass index at 30.4, which qualifies him as medically obese.

Last year, his weight was 239 pounds with a BMI of 29.9.

"Take off your shirt, sir, and show us that gorgeous chest. We've never seen a chest quite like it," the president said, quoting his doctor, at rally in Sunrise, Florida last night. His "homecoming" rally marked his first in the state since officially changing his residency to Mar-a-Lago last month.

Mr Trump remains in Florida, where he is golfing.

The Rocky III-inspired photo is among similar "Trumpy Balboa" designs — some saying "Yo, Hillary!" — from a "patriotic" apparel company that also features shirts with the president firing a machine gun in front of a waving American flag.

Mr Trump posted the photo an hour after he arrived at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.
