Adult film actress Stormy Daniels is set to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live after President Donald Trump’s first State of the Union.

The appearance of Daniels, who says she had an affair with the President in 2006, was announced on Twitter from Kimmel’s Twitter account.

“I have MANY QUESTIONS! #MAGA” Kimmel tweeted, using the acronym for Mr Trump’s campaign slogan.

Daniels, in a 2011 interview that wasn’t published until recently, told In Touch magazine that she had an affair with Mr Trump in 2006 — shortly after he married Melania Trump, the first lady.

The publication of that interview followed a Wall Street Journal report that indicated Mr Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, had arranged a $130,000 payment to Daniels to keep her quiet about the affair during the 2016 election. Mr Cohen has denied any payoff occurred, as has Daniels.

The In Touch interview contained several salacious details, including claims that Mr Trump has an incredible hatred of sharks and would like to see them all die.

Mr Trump’s first State of the Union will be delivered Tuesday to both the Senate and House of Representatives in Washington.

The annual tradition is a chance for presidents to highlight their accomplishments in the past year, and to detail a plan for the next year.

Mr Trump’s first year, while controversial and tumultuous, ended with him signing a tax reform bill. Before that, Mr Trump succeeded in naming a justice to the Supreme Court, and undertook a notable assault on America’s environmental regulations.

Most recently, Mr Trump’s administration has presented an immigration plan to Congress that would include amnesty for up to 1.8 million Dreamers in exchange for $25 bn in funding for his promised border wall.
