‘Orange doesn’t go well with a lot of colors’: Jewelry company responds to Harris’s debate earrings conspiracy

One of the wildest conspiracies to come out of Tuesday night's debate between presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump was that the vice president’s pearl earrings were actually bluetooth earpieces.

Now, the company which manufactures the bluetooth earrings at the heart of the baseless theory has hilariously weighed in on the saga.

“We do not know whether Mrs Harris wore one of our products. The resemblance is striking and while our product was not specifically developed for the use at presidential debates, it is nonetheless suited for it” Icebach Sound managing director Malte Iversen told Just the News on Wednesday.

The company director went on to take a jab at Trump, claiming that “to ensure a level playing field for both candidates,” the company is working on a male counterpart that it will “soon be able to offer it to the Trump campaign.”

“The choice of color is a bit challenging though as orange does not go well with a lot of colors,” Iversen added, roasting Trump over his well-known shade and seeming penchant for fake tan.

The statement finished: “Currently, we are unfortunately out of stock and also busy preparing a lawsuit against a big Chinese tech company breaching our patents. We are talking to investors in order to ramp up operations accordingly and are confident that we will ship again very soon.”

One of the rules of the ABC News debate, besides the candidate's microphones being turned off when it wasn’t their turn to answer questions, was that Trump and Harris could not use earpieces to get backstage feedback from their campaign teams.

However, following the event on Tuesday night, Trump supporters zoomed in on Harris’s gold and pearl earrings, claiming – with zero evidence – that they were bluetooth earpieces.

“Well it appears Harris cheated using audio earrings that are earphones. So that makes Trump the winner,” wrote one X user.

The conspiracy was instantly debunked.

Harris’s earrings are in fact a design from luxury jewelry brand Tiffany’s “HardWear” collection, according to a website tracking the Democratic presidential candidate's style.

Harris has been seen wearing the same earrings prior to the debate and also wore them the morning after to a memorial ceremony marking the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

But that hasn't satisfied some, who have now turned to criticizing her for wearing earrings that retail for $800.

“I see some single women who can't pay their bills and are struggling,” said one person on X.

“Kamala Harris has given us high grocery prices. Those people making $15.00/hr would love to be able to afford $800 earrings.”

Others disagreed, with one writing: “You’re right, for one of the biggest nights of her professional life, Harris should’ve accessorized from Claire’s.”
