Donald Trump lashes out at Michelle Obama with doctored video showing cities burning
President takes aim at former first lady as she urges supporters to vote for Joe Biden
Donald Trump lashed out at Michelle Obama after she branded the president a “racist” in a scathing video.
Mr Trump turned his fire on the former first lady the day after Joe Biden’s campaign released the 24-minute video in which she strongly criticised the president.
The president took to Twitter to retweet a video posted by James Woods where Mrs Obama’s background was replaced with cities on fire and scenes of civil unrest.
The original video has now been taken down by Twitter but Mr Woods continues to post it.
Mr Woods captioned his tweet: “Video proof is the great savior of democracy. Not so great for Democrats, however. Let’s have a look.”
In her original video Mrs Obama made a closing argument to Americans on why they should reject Mr Trump and elect Mr Biden to the White House.
“They're stoking fears about Black and Brown Americans, lying about how minorities will destroy the suburbs, whipping up violence and intimidation, and they're pinning it all on what's been an overwhelmingly peaceful movement for racial solidarity,” she said.

“So what the President is doing is, once again, patently false. It's morally wrong and yes, it is racist. But that doesn't mean it won't work.”
In her video Mrs Obama also accused the president of “wilful mismanagement” of the coronavirus pandemic
Mrs Obama is one of the most popular public figures in the US and had an approval rating of 60 per cent in August, while the president’s is currently only 43.2 per cent according to fivethirtyeight.com.
