In the battleground state of Michigan, the former president and Biden visited a high school in Flint.
While exiting the school’s gym, Obama is passed a basketball before dribbling and scoring it, then resuming his casual exit, telling the campaign entourage “that’s what I do!"
A masked Biden said “whoa” as he followed Obama out the room.
The moment was posted on Twitter by Biden’s travelling digital director, Olivia Raisner.
Quickly going viral, the score was soon praised by NBA star player Lebron James.
“Now you just showing off now my friend!!” James tweeted. “That’s what you do huh?? Ok ok I see. All cash!”
Obama also tweeted the video, writing “Shoot your shot.”
The former president – who is a keen basketball player – often participated in the game during his time in the White House.
In a 2010 match, the president suffered an “errant elbow,” forcing him to need stitches.
Biden and his former boss made a joint campaign appearance in Flint on Saturday in the battleground state.
With just two days until the election, President Donald Trump is trailing behind Biden in the polls, including in Michigan which the Republicans won in 2016.
The incumbent Trump will visit the state today while former vice president Biden will take his campaign to Philadelphia.
