Trump demands attorney general investigate Hunter Biden's laptop

Donald Trump’s supporters are protesting outside Attorney General William Barr's house to demand that he indict Joe Biden, reports said.

In a tweet on Sunday, Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler shared an image of at least a dozen people gathered outside Barr’s house in Virginia with Trump flags and signs.

“It’s come to this: A neighbor reports that AG William Barr’s house in McLean is being picketed by Trump supporters who believe he’s not doing enough to lock up Joe Biden,” he tweeted.

Signs of the protesters read “Equal justice is coming” and “Biden lies matter.” Others wore “Crooked Hillary” shirts and had Trump flags draped over their shoulders.

Other photographs of the protest appeared to show a white horse among the demonstrators.

“Why is there a horse outside of Bill Barr’s house?” Daily Beast editor-at-large Molly Jong-Fast tweeted. “How did the white horse get there and why?” she asked.

“Trump supporters picketed Bill Barr's house in McLean today to demand that he indict Joe Biden,” one user said.

“I have no explanation for the white horse.”

The Department of Justice told Associated Press reporter Mike Balsamo that AG Barr went outside to greet the crowd.

He is said to have “chatted with the folks out there, explained DOJ’s role generally in investigations and then shook hands and posed for photos with them”.

The president has ramped up personal attacks against his Democratic rival Mr Biden in the run up to the election, calling him a “criminal” and baselessly accusing his family of corruption.

“He is a criminal,” Mr Trump told reporters in October. “He’s a criminal. He got caught, read his laptop,” the president said, referencing a number of claims made in regard to data purported to have been taken from a laptop that allegedly belonged to Hunter Biden.

The president has previously demanded that the attorney general investigate the laptop during an interview on Fox & Friends.

“We’ve gotta get the attorney general to act,” the president said. “He’s gotta act, and he’s gotta act fast. He’s gotta appoint somebody.

"This is major corruption, and this has to be known about before the election. And by the way, we’re doing very well, we’re gonna win the election.”
