The first day at school is a big moment.
And it all got too much for one four-year-old boy when asked on live TV whether he was going to miss his mother.
No, Andrew Macias immediately answered with a cheeky smile – before the magnitude of it all sunk in.
KTLA reports that his mum then gave him a hug off camera before he went off to start his first day in pre-kindergarten at City Terrace Elementary School.
“This breaks my heart and now I’m anxious about sending my kids to school! He was trying to be so brave!” Courtney Friel, the show’s presenter, wrote on Instagram.
