Sebastian Gorka endured a fierce attack during a live TV appearance by a caller who branded him and other members of Donald Trump’s circle “treasonous bitches” live on air.

The caller said he hoped the aides were exposed for their wrongdoings before the phone was disconnected - leaving the former White House aide grimacing and shaking his head.

Pedro Echevarria, the TV host on US cable network C-Span, then hurriedly apologise to viewers.

“I want to thank C-Span and Mr Gorka, I just really look forward to when you and Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie, Don Jr, Jared Kushner all of you are exposed for the treasonous bitches that you are,” the caller said.

Mr Lewandowski and Mr Bossie both worked on the US president’s 2016 campaign.

Mr Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr and son-in-law Mr Kushner also took part in the campaign.

Special counsel Robert Mueller is currently investigating Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and possible collusion with the Trump campaign.

None of the individuals who the caller refers to have been charged with any crimes.

Mr Gorka, one of Mr Trump’s most controversial former aides, was hired by Fox News as a national security strategist after being ousted from his position as deputy assistant to Mr Trump last August.

The London-born strategist, who has prompted controversy for his comments about Islam and white supremacy, was a Fox News contributor before he joined the Trump administration.

Mr Gorka, who regularly appeared on cable news shows to promote Mr Trump’s policies, was a highly divisive, controversial individual in the Trump team. The former aide, who veteran intelligence professionals and diplomats viewed as an ideologue lacking real-world experience, was forced to deny allegations of neo-Nazi links after wearing a medal awarded to his father by Hungary’s Order of Vitéz.

Born in the UK to Hungarian parents, Mr Gorka lived in Hungary from 1992 to 2008 but became a naturalised American citizen in 2012.

Mr Gorka, who has been accused of having ties to the so-called “alt-right” movement, left his role in the Trump administration after Mr Bannon was ousted. While Mr Gorka claimed he resigned from the position, a number of White House officials disputed his account of events.
