Sean Young, a film actress best known for her role in Bladerunner, is wanted by the New York City police department for questioning over an alleged theft from her former company.

Authorities would like to question the 58-year-old actress over a robbery at "The School of Old" in Astoria, Queens, police told The Independent. NBC reported that the actress — who was let go from the business nearly fourth months ago — showed up again on Thursday with an unidentified man and allegedly left with two Apple laptops.

Ms Young "is wanted for questioning regarding a burglary which took place on August 9th inside of 33-01 36 Avenue Queens NY in which two laptops were stolen," the Astoria deputy commissioner of public information office told The Independent in an email. The business where the incident took place did not respond to requests for comment.

The Independent has reached out to representatives of Ms Young for comment.

The laptops contain video-editing software that raise their value to over £9,400 ($12,000), according to the New York Daily News.

The actress has most recently appeared in the TNT network series, The Alienist, as well as a cameo appearance in last year’s Bladerunner 2049.

The actress described her life in a 2015 Guardian interview as "peaceful" while "happily avoiding the world’s problems in Astoria with my family and my dog".

In that same interview, she explained why she likely wouldn't be returning to the silver screen for major film roles.

"It’s like putting a beautiful racehorse out to pasture before her time and then after 20 years expecting her to be the same horse," she said.
