Four dead bodies have been found in what authorities classify as a “multiple homicide” inside a building belonging to a North Dakota property management business.

On Monday, the bodies of three men and one woman were discovered inside RJR Maintenance and Management in Mandan, a city just over five miles away from Bismarck.

The victims were not immediately identified and Mandan Police Department did not say how the individuals died.

“It’s quite a large crime scene, so it’s not something that’s going to be easy for us to get in and do quickly,” Police Chief Jason Ziegler told the Associated Press, referring to the speed of the investigation.

Mr Ziegler said the police have not yet identified a suspect, nor a possible motive.

“The crime scene is contained to where it’s at, and there is no evidence based upon what we see that the public at large is in any danger from what happened there,” Mr Ziegler added. “It looks like an isolated incident.”

The police chief said officers did not know of any recent incidents or calls at or from the business that could be connected to the homicide.

The building has a lot of surveillance cameras. The authorities are asking for other businesses in the area to hand over surveillance footage relevant to the killings.

The business’s website features 22 employees in their “Meet Our Team” page.
