The Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have asked for the public’s help in locating an eight-year-old child who went missing from the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana.

The search for Mildred Alexis Old Crow started on 19 November after she was last seen on the reservation in March 2019.

Mildred’s non-custodial relatives informed the BIA Law Enforcement at Crow Agency that they had not seen her themselves since July 2018, according to a Wednesday press release.

Montana issued a Missing Endangered Person Advisory on Wednesday following the notification.

“Mildred also goes by Millie. She is an eight-year-old female, brown hair and brown eyes, date of birth 3 May, 2012,” a statement from the Montana Department of Justice read.

It added that Mildred was considered “small stature for her age” and it was possible she had “physical injuries”.

The investigation is conducted by the BIA Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons Cold Case unit in Billings, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office and the Billings Police Department.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crow BIA Law Enforcement Agency at 406 638 2631 or the FBI at 801 579 1400 option 2.
