From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. NBA superstar and former reality television star Lamar Odom remains in critical condition after being found unresponsive at a legal brothel near Las Vegas.

TMZ reports that Odom was rushed to a hospital in Pahrump, Nevada on Tuesday afternoon. His ex-wife Khloé Kardashian has been at Odom's bedside since late Tuesday night.

LA Daily News Lakers beat writer Nick Medina reports that Kobe Bryant and Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak left a preseason game in the third quarter and rushed to see the former Laker in the hospital.

Miami Heat players, his former team from 2003-04, offered their thoughts to Odom and his family on Twitter.

Meanwhile, NBA superstars and friends across the league voiced their support and continued prayers.
