A Florida woman has been arrested for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend with a frozen piece of meat.

The police believe Jennifer Brassard, 48, attacked her boyfriend by throwing a frozen pork chop at him after an argument escalated. The argument reportedly took place around 10pm on Friday, and around that time Ms Brassard allegedly hurled the pork chop at her boyfriend, hitting him right above the left eye, police say.

The arrest report stated the man left the scene and that he suffered a “half inch laceration” from the frozen pork chop attack.

“On 02/01/2019, at approximately 2145 hours, the defendant and victim were engaged in a verbal argument,” the report said. “During the verbal argument, the defendant threw a frozen pork chop at the victim, striking him on his left eyebrow causing an approximate half-inch laceration.”

The police interviewed both Ms Brassard and her partner before determining that the Brooksville woman was the perpetrator. The report also said she had been dating her boyfriend for about one year and that they have been living together at the time of the incident.

Ms Brassard was booked into county jail and released on a $250 bond. The judge presiding her bond hearing ordered her to not contact her boyfriend.

It is uncertain whether or not the pork chop was taken in for evidence.

She faces a domestic battery charge. It is unclear whether she has yet been assigned a lawyer or has had a chance to enter a plea.
