Fox29 has obtained footage of the nun being given a sobriety test by police shortly after she crashed into the Meineke Auto Shop in New Jersey, after a couple spotted the woman and contacted authorities.
The woman has only been described as a ‘Philadelphia nun’ by police, who allegedly drove into the business’s car park, backed into the auto shop door and smashed it, before driving away again.
She was stopped by police and allegedly failed a field sobriety test before being arrested for drink driving.
Peter De George, the manager of the auto shop, spoke of his shock: "[To be told] randomly that someone hit your building and then to find out it was a nun who happened to be drunk at almost three in the morning on a Friday night - it's not something you expect to walk into on a Saturday morning.”
