A Utah man has been arrested after police found illegal drugs with an estimated value of almost $4 million in his car.

During a traffic stop on Interstate 15 in Arizona on Monday afternoon, deputies from Mohave County Sheriff’s Office noticed that the driver would not make eye contact and appeared extremely nervous.

The stop happened near the border with Utah, and a K9 unit from the St George Police Department was called to assist in a search of the white sedan.

Detectives with the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET) also responded to the location and assisted with the investigation.

After the discovery of a large amount of narcotics in the vehicle, Logan Lewis Pederson, 30, was arrested.

Inside the vehicle, officers found: Six 1-gallon jugs, weighing a total of 66 pounds, filled with a liquid substance that tested positive as methamphetamine; six bricks of cocaine, weighing 13.2 pounds; 1,000 packages THC-infused sweets weighing 206 pounds; and 2.2 pounds of methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA).

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the estimated street value of the drugs amounts to $3,696,720.

Pederson was arrested and is being held at the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.

He is charged with dangerous drug possession, dangerous drug possession for sale, transportation of dangerous drugs, narcotic drug possession, narcotic drug possession for sale, and transportation of narcotic drugs.
