Melissa Moore and Jenn Carson discussed with each other what it is like to be the daughter of a serial killer in TV documentary Crime Watch Daily, the Daily Mail reports.
Ms Moore’s father is Keith Jesperson – who was dubbed the ‘Happy Face Killer' due to notes he would write to police officers and the media, signing off with a smiley face.
Jesperson is known to have raped and murdered eight women over a five year period in the early 1990s in various states in the US.
The 36-year-old found out about her father’s crimes when she was 15, after he had been arrested. She previously spoke about her father’s past with Oprah Winfrey, as well as writing for the BBC about her experiences in 2014, recalling seeing her father torture and kill small animals when she was younger.
Now a correspondent for Crime Watch Daily, Ms Moore interviewed Ms Carson for the programme.
Ms Carson is the daughter of Michael Carson who, along with his wife Suzan, brutally murdered three people they allegedly believed to be witches in San Francisco during the 1980s.
Ms Carson found out about her father’s crime when she was eight-years-old and instantly begun having nightmares as well as feeling “so alone”.
She reportedly also said she felt guilty about being related to a serial killer and “instantly thought this world is a very scary place.”
Michael and Suzan Carson were sentence to 75 years in prison in 1984.
