Your support makes all the difference.Video has emerged showing a Brazilian senior official who has tested positive for coronavirus meeting with President Trump at Mar-a-Lago over the weekend.
Fabio Wajngarten, the press secretary for Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, tested positive for Covid-19, according to reports on Thursday.
The new video shows Mr Wajngarten as he travelled with the Brazilian president, whose health is currently being monitored, to Mr Trump's Florida resort and dined with the president this past weekend.
The interaction was also shared on the press secretary's instagram, showing the man posing next to Mr Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.
When the president was asked on Thursday about his interactions with the press secretary over the weekend, he said he was "not concerned".
"I did hear something about that ... we did nothing very unusual. We sat next to each other for a period of time, had a great conversation," Mr Trump said, describing his interaction with Mr Wajngarten. "We'll find out what happens. Let's put it this way, I am not concerned."
When President Bolsonaro and his team met with Mr Trump on Saturday, the far-right leader downplayed the virus.
"During the past year, obviously, we have had moments of crisis. A lot of that is fantasy. And coronavirus, which is not (what) all the mainstream media makes it out to be," he said.
Now Mr Bolsonaro is being closely monitored and tested for the coronavirus.
No indication was given by Mr Trump on Thursday on if he would undergo a Covid-19 test.
A scare occurred earlier this week when multiple Republican lawmakers who attended CPAC decided to self-isolate themselves over reports they interacted with someone with the virus. Mr Trump interacted with those Republican lawmakers.
But the White House, at the time, said the president had no intentions of getting tested.
"The President has not received Covid-19 testing because he has neither had prolonged close contact with any known confirmed Covid-19 patients, nor does he have any symptoms," White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said. "President Trump remains in excellent health, and his physician will continue to closely monitor him."
