Biker gang called 'The Punishers' surprise a bullied 5-year-old with visit to make her feel empowered

A group of bikers called 'The Punishers' have come to the aid of a 5-year-old girl after they heard she had been bullied.

The girl, from Albuquerque, New Mexico, reportedly suffers from a mental disability, and was allegedly attacked by other children from the neighbourhood as she walked home. Her identity has not been revealed at the request of her family.

After hearing about the incident, the Punishers rode over to her house to say "hi" in a bid to make her feel more empowered.

The bikers, who are based in Albuquerque, are comprised mostly of military veterans, firefighters and former police officers.

President of the Albuquerque chapter of the Punishers told KRQE: "We told her that we are always there for her no matter what."

Bikers have suffered from an increase in negative media attention after nine people were shot dead during a clash between rival motorcycle gangs in Waco, Texas.

Police arrested 192 suspects after the brawl, and one officer described the aftermath as “one of the most gruesome crime scenes” he had seen in more than three decades.
