Algerian security forces killed 40 inmates who were among hundreds who broke out of jail 10 days ago, AFP reports from Algiers. Sixty-four prisoners have now been killed by security forces hunting down the prisoners who escaped from Tazult prison. The inmates escaped after the jail was attacked by Islamic fundamentalist guerrillas.
