130 Mafia suspects held
Police arrested 130 suspected Mafia members yesterday in a nationwide crackdown on a Calabrian crime syndicate that has been accused of murders, kidnappings and running the drug trade around Milan, agencies report from Rome. Police said an additional 91 warrants were served on people already in Italian jails.
Meanwhile, 15 years after Red Brigades terrorists kidnapped and killed Aldo Moro, a former Italian president, police have arrested another suspect. Germano Maccari is suspected of being one of Moro's four jailers.
